Tkiyet Um Ali supports endorsed families by the Sustainable Food Aid on monthly basis and throughout the year. Tkiyet Um Ali distributes food parcels to 18,300 endorsed families located throughout the Kingdom and living in extreme poverty.
The parcels contain 22 food commodities that cover the nutritional needs of a family for a whole month and enough to prepare 3 meals on daily basis. From 2005 to 2015 the number of parcels distributed by Tkiyet Um Ali to endorsed families reached 705,390 parcels.
Tkiyet Um Ali serves daily hot meals to up to 350 people, throughout the year, at its headquarters in Mahatta in the Center of Amman. Each meal provides 50% of the daily caloric needs of an adult individual.
Tkiyet Um Ali contracts leading specialized caterers to provide the hot meals offered to wayfarers at its main dining hall. The dining hall is equipped with all necessary requirements and staffed by qualified professional human resources. All stages of food preparation are monitored in order to ensure the highest food safety standards. A total of 718,942 hot meals were served from 2006 until the end of 2015.
Mawa’ed Al-Rahman at Tkiyet Um Ali
Throughout the Holy month of Ramadan and on daily basis Tkiyet Um Ali serves Iftar meals at its premises during Iftar time where underprivileged families who are fasting receive a hot meal to break their fast. Moreover, in 2014 Tkiyet Um Ali partnered with the Public Security Department (Highway Patrol Department) to serve hot Iftar meals to travelers on the Kingdom’s highways. A total of 1,222,659 Iftar meals were served from 2005 -2015 during the holy month of Ramadan.
As of 2005 Tkiyet Um Ali started undertaking the offering of Adahi on behalf of donors. The meat of the Adahi is distributed throughout the year. Since then (2005) TUA Performed 149,048 Udhiyah on behalf of donors.
Tkiyet Um Ali undertakes the offering of Adahi on behalf of donors, and the Udhiyah is performed in Australia during the Adha Holy Days, in conformity with Islamic sharia laws and under the supervision of a committee chaired by a Mufti from General Iftaa’ Department (Jordan) along with a team from Tkiyet Um Ali. The sheep weighs 45 Kgs.
The Adahi meat is distributed throughout the year to 18300 endorsed families on monthly basis via refrigerated vans throughout the year.
Tkiyet Um Ali also preforms Adahi in Amman during the Adha Eid days and distributes the fresh meat to endorsed families.
In 2015, in cooperation and coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, Tkiyet Um Ali distributed part of the Adahi meat offered during the previous year to underprivileged families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in Palestine. 29 charitable organisations, including Zakat committees and Takaya Al-Khair, as well as other organisations participated in the distribution and reached many areas across the West Bank and Gaza Strip. A total of 8586 families received Adahi meat.
